Last weekend we had the pleasure of meeting up with CJ and Katherine, the lovely folks behind Our Mode style blog, for an afternoon of photo fun.  Right before team doublespace left for Cuba, I (Amanda) came across the dapper duo on Instagram (yes, Instagram) and realized that they live right here in our nation’s capital. Never one to pass up a chance to photograph adorable, well-dressed people, I literally emailed them from the departure lounge to see if they’d be up for a collaboration. Spoiler alert (haha): they were.

Spring weather  in Ottawa is, well…. capricious, to be kind, so an indoor location was imperative. We chose the ‘Lantern’ addition at the Canadian Museum of Nature for its great natural light and stunning architecture (also, whale suspended from the ceiling… need I say more?). Given that we were shooting during museum hours and in a major circulation area, no less, we kept our kit to a minimum by using a one-light setup.
