Calatravan Obsession

What do two photo-geeks do on their honeymoon?

Amanda asked this question here, and gave you a bit of an answer. So after aimlessly walking around the streets of Barcelona and photographing the awesome Barcelona Pavilion, we must have thought we were slacking too much on the photography and decided that we were to head to another icon we’ve been salivating over for some time. So on 11/11/11 at 11 on train 1111 at platform 11 (Not making this up, I swear. Also, I didn’t say we were only photo-geeks) we boarded a train to Valencia to meet his Highness Calatrava. Not the man himself, but likely his most striking creation: The city of Arts and Sciences. The attraction was just too powerful to resist. Our hotel was a 15min walk from the site. Needless to say we spent most of the 24h there photographing it under every possible angle (well actually, not quite, they were doing quite a bit of work, so we didn’t have access to some areas sadly).
