When we were thinking of ideas for this yoga project, we really wanted to make something different. It still had to have the aesthetic appeal that is so dear to us, yet bring an element of novelty to the concept. Yoga is often associated with relaxation in serene and calm places. How about we throw it a curve ball?
The train station in Ottawa has one of the coolest ramps out there. One that we photographed on several occasions but that we knew would be a great setting for something more. The yoga shoot was to be that something. Mix quiet, calm and collected yoga with gritty, industrial-like, busy train station, and voila!
We secured the proper permissions with Via Rail, whom we thank for their fantastic collaboration on this, and off we went. A huge thank you to Madhuri and Katie who came along to play with us and made the experience that much more fun! We have a few more ideas up our sleeves for this and are gearing up for a busy spring and summer of shooting. More on that in a few months!
